James Tiarks is Managing Director at Texel Group, a specialist trade credit and political risk insurance broker. Texel Group has offices in London, Brussels, Singapore and US and works with all private insurers and government agencies. James previously held positions with Texel in London and more recently in Singapore where he focused on financial institution and large multinational corporation credit risk throughout the Asia Pacific region. His career in insurance started at Aon.

James earned a First Class B.Sc (Hons) in Business Management from the University of Birmingham, UK. He has a CII Diploma from the Chartered Insurance Institute and is a former member of the International Project Finance Association FLN committee.

Outside of the office, James likes to spend time on the golf course and has recently called time on his rugby playing days, having represented Singapore’s national team.
